Helmut Newton : le pionnier du porno chic excite le web

Pornochic is a neologism to describe the work of Artist/Photographer Helmut Newton. He deeply influenced Former Gucci Designer Tom Ford, and surely some of our Local Photographers on Island : Jean Philippe Piter and Alexandre Abela.
BTW waiting with eagerness the new PURE MAG Issue.......

A new restaurant has opened in Gustavia.  Jean-Paul Adley (Island Flavors) has opened a restaurant next door called Bistro Joséphine.  He's offering a French/Créole menu.  Specials of the day can be found on Facebook.

The hours are listed as:

The accompanying photo shows a stuffed half-Langouste with Noodles.  Given the listed price of €18, I would say that Bisto Joséphine's prices are moderate for St Barth.

James, here's a data dump with a few more new/soon to open restaurants:

Do Brazil has been purchased by the groups who own or will operate the Carl Gustaf.  It is currently undergoing renovations, and will reopen later this month as Shellona.  Pascal Ramette is reported to be promoting the new restaurant.

Le Carré will re-open under a new name later this month, Bo Kao.  Little is known about the new concept, other than it shares a name and a website with a now-closed tapas restaurant in Ibiza.

Le Barthélemy has opened nine years after the St Barth Beach Hotel closed.  I've been there for a very nice lunch with fantastic views over Grand Cul de Sac.  Le Barth is their breakfast/lunch restaurant, and non-hotel guests are welcome at breakfast as well as at lunch.  I have not visited their dinner restaurant, Aux Amis, with a menu created by Michelin-starred French Chef Guy Martin.  They also have a bar, Le Bar, and a pool bar, La Turquoise.  It's a gorgeous hotel, and is worth a visit.

Tropical Hotel has had a quick makeover under the new owners, a has a new restaurant from the folks at Maman in NYC and Toronto.  They're serving breakfast, lunch, and tapas, as well as brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Hotel Christopher is also offering a Sunday Brunch, as well as Tuesday sunset cocktails.  As you know, the sunset will be behind the hills of St Jean and Colombier, not into the ocean.

Santa Fé in Lurin is under new ownership, now owned by David from Do Brazil, and Christophe, the chef from Do Brazil.  It's very popular for lunch, and well worth a visit.  The menu is different from the former Santa Fé menu.

Les Artistes (formerly Le Wok) in Lorient is now La Boheme.

The former François Plantation hotel reopens on 12/15 as Villa Marie.  In a nod to the previous hotel name, and the eponymous fine dining restaurant which they operated, the hotel restaurant will be called François Plantation.  I haven't seen a menu yet, but I'm told to expect premium pricing.

There are probably a few more places which I should mention, but these are the changes which come to mind.
